The Events Planning, Delivery and Related Services agreement (RM1049) has been awarded and will go live in early June 2014 for a term of two years with the option to extend for a further two one-year periods.

The new agreement supports the new centralised approach to communications and comprises of two lots:

Making the most of public sector’s buying power, the agreement provides customers with a simplified access model and reduced supply base providing a platform to work strategically with new and different suppliers to drive greater savings. It is estimated that the new agreement will deliver savings of up to £1 million a year for the taxpayer, whilst maximising the quality of innovative work offered by suppliers.

Crown Commercial Service Chief Executive, Sally Collier commented: “I am delighted to confirm the award of the Events agreement. This is a fundamental part of the vision set out in this year's Government Communications Plan to work together across the public sector and spend taxpayers' money responsibly. It's also great news for a diverse and vibrant supply base with 89% SMEs."
