Commenting on a terrorist attack against the police near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo yesterday, Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said: 

The UK condemns today’s terrorist attack in central Cairo. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims. The UK is committed to working with the Egyptian government to defeat terrorism.
