Don’t just make it,
reinvent it
Meltech designs
and manufactures high performance machinery and engineering solutions for the
wire and cable, offshore and subsea, and metals processing industries. It has
customers all over the world. It needed funding for research and development
into a world-beating innovation, and turned to the Technology Strategy
Board for support. The relatively new technology, called continuous
rotary extrusion (CRE), can squeeze metals and shape them into complex forms in
a single, continuous operation. For an industry such as cable-making, it is a
highly effective solution.
Meltech exports 60% to 80% of
its output and is a regular customer of UKTIusing its Passport to Export
programme to helps compile information. Find out
