The report stated that shale gas and oil had the potential to make a significant contribution to the UK economy as well as enhancing energy resilience in a manner compatible with the UK’s commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The debate on the report will be held in the Chamber of the House of Lords on Tuesday 4 November. It is expected to start after 4pm. You can follow the debate live at www.parliamentlive.tv
