At an award ceremony in Brussels last week web-based resource ‘Magna Carta and the Emergence of Parliament’ won the Jury’s Special Prize at the MEDEA Awards.

The prize is awarded at the judges discretion in recognition of exceptional innovation in pedagogic or technical design. The aim of the MEDEA Awards is to encourage innovation and good practice in the use of media (audio, video, graphics and animation) in education.

The resource is the result of a collaboration between The National Archives and Parliament.

This is the second award it has won, having received a BETT award in January in recognition of the use of technology to investigate and research Magna Carta and its context.
