Migration Advisory Committee asks for evidence on minimum salary for Tier 2 visa

Industry responses to the consultation will inform Home Office's Tier 2 visa reform proposals.

Yesterday, the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) launched a Call for evidence review: minimum salary thresholds for Tier 2. The review asks for evidence relating to the following proposals:

This consultation is part of the MAC task to consider new measures to help reduce non-EEA economic immigration. The consultation will close on Friday 3 July 2015. A second call for evidence, relating to the wider review of Tier 2, is expected to launch in late June/early July 2015.
