New ministerial appointments July 2016

Following Theresa May's appointment as Prime Minister, the Queen has been pleased to approve the following ministerial appointments:

• Michael Fallon MP as Secretary of State for Defence
• Rt Hon Liam Fox MP as Secretary of State for International Trade
• Rt Hon David Davis MP as Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union
• Amber Rudd MP as Secretary of State for the Home Department
• Boris Johnson MP as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs
• Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP as Chancellor of the Exchequer
