Today the ONS published the outcomes of the consultation on changes to ONS statistical outputs.

This is part of their strategic transformation to a modern, data-driven organisation.

In order to allow this transformation, the ONS need to make changes to their existing work. They have considered how they publish outputs and the ways they gather their data, which include surveys like the International Passenger Survey and the Retail Sales Inquiry.

The ONS consulted extensively with hundreds of key users of their data, including government departments and academic institutions. After considering the responses to this consultation, the document published today will set out how the ONS adapt and improve the way they deliver the data the UK needs.
