Online tool boosted by new activity data

Our Active People Interactive tool has been expanded to provide new measures, extra statistics and invaluable health and activity data.

The online tool was originally launched in autumn 2013, and allows users to analyse our yearly Active People Survey results. It’s particularly useful when interrogating data for different areas within England, and for different population groups. 

The refreshed tool now offers: 

•  The ability to examine data in the context of public health measures of inactivity and the Chief Medical Officer guidelines of ‘150 minutes a week’ of activity

• Previously unpublished data linked to the measures in the Public Health Outcomes Framework

• Data on physical activity as well as sport – including walking, cycling, dance and gardening

• The ability to interrogate new measures such as Body Mass Index and moderate or vigorous activity.
