TfL is now offering learning-disabled adults aged 16 or over the opportunity to gain practical experience of the workplace in its Steps into Work scheme.

This is a one-year programme offering an opportunity to study for a BTEC Level 1 workskills qualification, including gaining real-life work experience in three unpaid placements at TfL (each placement lasts between nine and 11 weeks).

TfL works in partnership with Barnet and Southgate College in north London and employment agency Remploy to run the programme.

Recruitment is now open for the January 2015 intake. Applications need to be submitted as soon as possible. For more information, email stepsintowork@tfl.gov.uk or call 020 3054 2718.
