New Acas website puts customers first

New Acas website puts customers first

ADVISORY, CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION SERVICE News Release issued by The Government News Network on 29 April 2008

Acas, the employment relations experts, today re-launched its website http://www.acas.org.uk with new features for HR professionals, employers and employees. There are also regional pages to provide businesses with details of training and services on offer in their area.

The new website - which was redesigned following customer feedback - features better navigation as well as providing tailored guidance for both employers and employees.

Research released last year revealed that the Acas website and its publications section benefit the UK economy by £32 million. In 2007 there were over three million visits to the website and nearly a million copies of Acas publications were downloaded free of charge.

As well as continuing to offer up-to-date information and independent advice on workplace relations to help employers and employees solve problems and improve overall performance, visitors can also sign up to receive a free quarterly newsletter containing information about changes to employment legislation and good practice advice on employment relations.

John Taylor, Acas Chief Executive said, "Making our resources accessible and easy to find creates strong benefits for local businesses. Using our expertise, we have been able to add to what is already a very valuable website, helping organisations large and small save time and money. Whether it's maternity leave or bullying or training or equality, the Acas website covers all the key topics which can help managers deal effectively with people issues."
