Agreement reached in border force dispute

3 August 2009

The planned strike on Wednesday 5 August by members of the Public and Commercial Services union in the UK Border Agency has been called off.

The decision was taken after negotiations resulted in an agreement that provides a basis for a settlement of the current dispute.

The union had served notice of industrial action to begin on 5 August. In light of the action being called off, the union is advising its members to report for work as normal.
