CBI comments on launch of Professional and Business Services industrial strategy

The CBI responded to the launch of the Government’s Professional and Business Services industrial strategy.

Rhian Kelly, CBI Director for Business Environment, said:

“This strategy recognises we cannot stand still if we want our professional and business services to retain their world-leading status.

“Increasing the number of higher apprenticeships could help businesses access the wider pool of talent they need to stay on top. Making the most of trade missions and business leaders to sell the sector overseas will also provide a boost.

“The challenge now is to build upon this basic framework. Business must remain in the driving seat, with all relevant government departments pulling in the same direction to deliver on the sector’s priorities.”
