CBI responds to publication of Growth and Infrastructure Bill

The CBI responded to the Government’s publication of a new Growth and Infrastructure Bill.

Nicola Walker, CBI Head of Infrastructure, said:

“This new Bill should give confidence to business that the Government understands the need to fast track important infrastructure projects to boost growth.

“These legislative proposals should help to streamline and speed up the planning process, unblocking development and allowing companies to invest, grow and create jobs. With 97% of business highlighting planning as a barrier to investment, it is vital that the Government works quickly to pass the Bill and deliver these changes.”
