Adjudicator publishes decision on a modification to the implementation date for a proposal for Clyst Honiton CE Primary School, Exeter
The Office of the Schools Adjudicator has published a decision on a modification to the implementation date for a statutory proposal for Clyst Honiton CE Primary School, Exeter.
The Adjudicator, Mr Alan Parker, approved the proposal and agreed that the implementation date for the enlargement for the school should be changed to September 2010 subject to planning permission being granted by January 2009. He also agreed that the age range of the School be extended to 3-11 years by the addition of a foundation stage unit accommodating 13 full time equivalent pupils from September 2009.

Schools adjudicators are independent of the Government. They decide on school organisation issues, disputes on land transfer and assets and admission arrangements which cannot be resolved locally. They were appointed under the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. Their role is to look afresh at all cases referred to them, considering each case on its merits and taking account of the reasons for disagreement at local level in the light of the legislation and the guidance in the School Admissions Code.
