The Welsh Government is inviting Welsh companies to participate in trade missions to the United States, China and Canada in 2013.

Government supported places are now available for multi-sector trade missions to the U.S. West Coast from 10-15 February, Chongqing, China from 2- 9 March and Montreal, Canada from 21-26 April.

Business Minister Edwina Hart urged businesses to take the opportunity to grow their existing markets and develop key contacts overseas. She said:

“The trade missions provide a unique opportunity for Welsh businesses of all sizes to connect with key sector experts and foster strategic partnerships in new markets.

“Businesses will have the opportunity to attend briefings and networking events and the Welsh Government will be able to provide assistance identifying, contacting and arranging meetings with potential clients.

"Trade missions are an excellent platform to further develop the profile of Wales across a range of sectors – from food to tourism, and increase bilateral trade and investment. By encouraging and supporting companies to export we can develop sustainable economic growth, and business in Wales has a major contribution to make."

Applications for the US trade mission close on 11 January, applications for the mission to China close on 31 January and the closing date for the mission to Canada is 15 March.
