Research call: analysis of Scottish dietary data

The Food Standards Agency in Scotland is inviting tenders to carry out secondary analysis, for 2011 and 2012, of dietary data that was collected in the UK Living Costs and Food Survey.

Annual trends of estimated intakes of relevant foods and nutrients are required as part of ongoing work to monitor the food and nutrient intakes of the Scottish population. Analysis of the 2010 data is currently being carried out and analysis of the 2001 to 2009 data has been completed.

We would expect the lead contractor to demonstrate clearly their nutrition expertise and proven track record in dietary assessment methodology and ability to analyse data of this kind in their proposal.
