Insurance Services framework now live
The new Insurance Services framework went live on 25 February 2013 after extensive collaboration with a number of public sector organisations. The framework has been let in partnership with YPO, who is taking the lead on behalf of Pro5.
Through the framework, you can procure a wide range of insurance and insurance brokerage including travel and personal accident, property and construction, and motor insurance. A range of support services are also available, for example claims handling and risk management.
The framework has been divided into three lots:
- Lot 1 covers the provision of insurance, and a number of support services. There are a total of 31 suppliers on this lot.
- Lot 2 covers the provision of insurance brokerage and a number of support services. This is a multi-supplier lot, with 11 suppliers.
- Lot 3 covers the provision of insurance brokerage and a number of support services. This is a single supplier lot, and is intended for customers who require additional support and guidance with their insurance requirements.
For the single supplier insurance brokerage service (lot 3) suppliers were asked to provide a range of core services. This enabled an innovative eAuction to be conducted, which resulted in the successful supplier bid being 31% lower than the lowest opening bid, demonstrating that eAuctions can help further drive down costs and deliver value for money for customers.
The framework agreement reference is RM958 and will need to be quoted to suppliers in order to access the terms and conditions.
