Government Procurement Service is pleased to be part of a joint project to drive low carbon sourcing in more than £1bn of spending. Working with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change and leading UK companies, we will be delivering the commitments made in three Procurement Compacts in catering, transport and energy.

At Government Procurement Service, we are  committed to delivering best value, commercial procurement solutions for our public sector customers. The public sector needs to deliver cost-effective carbon savings and to support this we need to make sure that innovative low carbon solutions for goods and services are available.

This project is intended to drive a significant reduction in UK emissions, encouraging supplier innovation and investment in low to zero carbon products and set a precedent for other sectors and organisations. Further information is available here.
