FSCS publishes 2010/11 Annual Report

FSCS pays out £535m in compensation and delivers faster payouts to consumers

In its Annual Report and Accounts 2010/11, published recently (1 July), the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) reports that it has paid more than £535m in compensation to over 47,000 claimants.

During 2010/11, the failure of Keydata Investment Services Limited (Keydata) continued to dominate the work of the FSCS. In total, the Scheme resolved more than 27,000 claims arising from the Keydata failure and paid out £214m to investors.
