NHS Confederation - Chief inspector panel announced for 2014 annual conference

A specially convened panel of NHS chief inspectors will take part in a live Q&A session on the new regulatory system at this year's NHS Confederation annual conference and exhibition.

Chief inspectors to answer your questions

The gathering will provide an invaluable opportunity to gain an insight into the inspectors' current and future priorities and what this means for health and care organisations in practice.

The session will feature:

  • Andrea Sutcliffe, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care
  • Professor Sir Mike Richards, Chief Inspector of Hospitals
  • Professor Steve Field, Chief Inspector of General Practice
  • Dr Jennifer Dixon CBE, Chief Executive, Health Foundation (chair)

It is one of a wide range of new and interactive panel sessions taking place during the Confederation's annual conference and exhibition in Liverpool from 4 to 6 June.

Leading political and healthcare figures to share their visions for the NHS

Right Honourable MPs Jeremy Hunt, Andy Burnham and Norman Lamb, and incoming NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens, will take to the main stage to share their visions and set out their stall on the future of the NHS in the run-up to May 2015.

They will do so at what will be the largest and most influential gathering of health and care leaders, partners, stakeholders and decision-makers before the 2015 General Election.

The health and care system will increasingly come under the spotlight as a key political battle ground of the general election.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health
  • Rt Hon Andy Burnham MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Health
  • Rt Hon Norman Lamb MP, Minister of State for Care and Support
  • Simon Stevens, incoming Chief Executive, NHS in England

Further prominent and inspirational keynote speakers will be announced in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on the conference website for the latest details.
