Leading the way: the LSIS approach to leadership development

Following the successful pilot of its redesigned leadership development framework, LSIS has announced that the first four modules are now available – heralding an exciting new approach based on greater choice, flexibility and personalisation.

More than 50 participants from around the country helped to pilot the new framework, which forms part of the LSIS commitment to promoting high standards of leadership across all levels in the learning and skills sector.

To be held in the midlands, the first four events are:

• personal development as leader and manager for first line managers: 22 and 23 June 2011 (residential);
• leading people for first line managers: 14 and 30 June 2011;
• leadership, vision and strategy for middle managers:  9 and 30 June 2011; and
• leading quality improvement for middle managers: dates to be confirmed.

All the modules offer participants the option of gaining qualifications accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Further modules will become available throughout the year as a rolling programme from autumn 2011.  For details, please contact: enquiries@lsis.org.uk.
