2010 National Lottery Awards voting opens - have your say

Voting has opened for the 2010 National Lottery Awards - your chance to get behind your favourite Lottery-funded projects.

Sport England funded seven projects which have made it into the final 70 going before the public vote.

Voting in the semi finals round closes at 12pm on 18 June 2010.

We're impartial - but this is your chance to get behind the project that you think made the most impact in the local community, has changed lives for the better or has opened doors for people who might not otherwise get the chance to take part.

The Sport England-funded projects are:

Stepney Bank Stables

Stepney Bank Stables’ primary purpose is to offer under-privileged and disabled children from one of the most deprived areas in the country the chance to ride, look after and learn about horses, and develop their social and practical skills in a manner that will lead to enhanced opportunities and expectations.

Attock Community Sports and Cricket Club

The Attock Community Sports and Cricket Club helps young boys and girls from deprived areas in Birmingham to play cricket throughout the year. It has established itself as a successful club with six senior sides that compete in the Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League and five junior sides that compete in Warwickshire County Leagues.

Children's Able and Disabled Sport (CADS)

CADS offer sporting activities to children in the North West of England, regardless of their ability. It is completely inclusive, and everyone participates in the same activities, enabling those with severe and multiple disabilities access to the same opportunities as their non-disabled peers.

The Lincolnshire Disability Inclusion Project

The Lincolnshire Disability Inclusion Project aims to get both disabled and non-disabled people from the local area involved in sport, especially those who have not been physically active in the past 12 months, by setting up a variety of sporting clubs and events in the community.

Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex

The project restored the 1930s Uxbridge Lido to bring it back into use and constructed a new fully accessible sports and leisure complex, which includes the development of a state-of-the-art 50m Olympic sized pool - the first to be built in London for more than 40 years.

Ready Steady Run (Rugby Sport and Active Recreation Project)

Women in the Warwickshire town of Rugby are being encouraged to get fit as part of an innovative health project. Ready, Steady, Run helps women take to the track in a fun, supportive environment, helping them to work towards taking part in local charity running events.

The Sport Action Zone

The Sport Action Zone works in South East London to develop and sustain a wide range of sport programmes for young people from socially deprived areas. It operates from a formerly derelict school which it has transformed into a community sports hub.

You can vote for your favourite project by visiting the 2010 National Lottery Awards website. Why not have your say now.
