More talented musicians to benefit from the Momentum music fund

Seven more artists have been announced as recipients of Momentum music funding, boosting creativity and careers in the music industry.

Mananged by PRS for Music Foundation, benefiting from National Lottery Arts Council investment and in association with Deezer, the seven diverse acts join a growing list of 'ones-to-watch' who have already benefitted from the fund. 

The artists

Along with recieving grants of between £5,000 and £15,000, the artists will be promoted on the Momentum Deezer app, and the chance of securing additional funding through the Deezer award. The seven artists are:

Andreya Triana
Bear's Den
Darkstar
Lonely the Brave
Max Cooper
Night Engine
NZCA/LINES

On receiving her Momentum funding, Andreya Triana said:
"It has come at a crucial time and the funds from the award are going to make a huge difference. In an industry where you have to work incredibly hard and at times make your own luck the Momentum Music Fund has played a pivotal role in supporting my creativity and career." 

Lonely the Brave said:
"All we've ever wanted to do is tour the songs, and get our music out there to people, and with this help we finally feel able to. With so many other talented acts applying, it means all the more that we have been chosen."

About the fund

Applications for the next round of the fund close on 24 January. More information can be found here. There will be additional rounds of funding announced throughout 2014.
