Come and Join us at Rewiring Public Services - West Midlands, 6th December

Friday, 6 December 2013 from 10:00 to 15:30 (GMT)

Birmingham, United Kingdom

Brought to you in partnership with the LGA, IEWM and CLG-WM, this free public sector conference is being held on Friday 6th December at the ICC in Birmingham and is aimed at CXs, senior officers, elected members and Leaders in local government and we hope to attract 200 delegates.

The overall aim of the day is to review the specific challenges and opportunities facing councils in the region and to consider the actions that councils in the West Midlands can take to better understand the issues and move the agenda forward in a way that is locally relevant.

The morning session will also focus on children's services and financial sustainability, in response to the LGA's campaign ‘Rewiring Public Services: Setting the Agenda Together'.

The full programme is still in outline, but will include Sir Merrick Cockell Chair of the LGA, giving the key note speech covering the all four themes of the
LGA campaign, a Q&A session with Sir Merrick Cockell and Carolyn Downs from the LGA and colleagues from across the region.
