Agreement on Cooperation with Information Commissioner's Office published

Recently The National Archives have published an Agreement on Cooperation signed by the Information Commissioner and the Chief Executive and Keeper, The National Archives. This sets out how The National Archives and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) will cooperate as regulators of access to and re-use of public sector information.
 
The purpose of the Agreement on Cooperation below is to:

  • set out the shared understanding of our respective responsibilities, particularly under the amended sections 11, 11A and 19 of the Freedom of Information Act
  • set out the basis on which the organisations will cooperate when dealing with statutory complaints
