We're pleased to announce that we will be opening the Increasing Skills in Social Care Fund on Monday 20 September 2010.
This year there will be £1.5 million available to help children's social care employers in England, funding the workforce to take the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (Children and Young Peoples Social Care Pathway).
- NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) at level 3.
- NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) at level 4.
- NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services at level 4.
Independent, private and voluntary social care organisations can access funding for staff starting the training between 20th September and 19th November 2010.
The fund is also available to all foster care providers (including local authorities) registering foster carers to undertake Level 3 qualifications during the same period.
