Launching our new-look web pages

We have released the first pages of our newly designed website, improving the experience of customers using new and evolving technology and enabling quicker access into our content.

Oliver Morley, Chief Executive and Keeper, The National Archives, said: 'The National Archives continues to innovate. Our refreshed 'mobile first' approach to digital services represents a step forward in our thinking to anticipate and meet the needs of our customers of today and tomorrow.'

We have examined all elements of design to bring you a visually appealing, simple and clear page layout, and used your feedback to refine these and meet your needs. Explore our new homepage, blog and top-level service pages - About us, Records, Education, Information management and Archives sector now.

Emma Allen, Head of Web Team, said: 'These changes have only been possible because of input from our users. I am grateful to everyone who has helped us with ideas and testing. We hope our new approach is a fitting way to combine our stunning records, with strong design, open standards and good usability to provide a welcoming experience of The National Archives for all.'
