Take part in the Archive Service Accreditation pilot

The National Archives is inviting archive services in England to participate in the piloting of the new draft Archive Service Accreditation Standard.

Following the completion of the co-creation phase of the scheme with the archives sector, comments are being collated to create the draft Archive Service Accreditation Standard. The draft standard will be piloted in a range of archives in each of the home nations, from September to December 2012.

We are seeking expressions of interest from a range of archive services, from public to private, from single professional operations to large integrated heritage services, who feel they have the capacity to take part in piloting the draft standard.

This is an opportunity for archive services to review achievements using a model which has support from across the sector, and to contribute further to the shaping of the standard and scheme.

Find out how you can become a pilot service and test the new standard on our accreditation page. You can also read more about the pilot in our blog.
