Funding available for projects that record our experience of being 2012 host nation

Applications have now opened for funding for a final round of People's Record projects. People's Record www.peoplesrecord.org.uk aims to capture opinions and reactions to hosting the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This £15,000 fund will support museums, libraries and archives to run projects recording the public's response to the Games in a variety of ways, from oral history to conferences and film.

Grants of up to £1,000 will be awarded to projects, taking place between June and October, that explore the transformation of communities; themes of health, sport and wellbeing; and young people's aspirations through engagement work and the legacy of the 2012 Games.

The People's Record was set up in 2008 and since then has funded a range of content; including work exploring Muslim women and sport, and a film about the increasingly popular sport of gig rowing.

The People's Record has an Inspire Mark, which means that it is a project that has been inspired by the 2012 Games.

Applications to the fund will close on Sunday 20 May, with successful applicants announced at the end of May.
