Asda has recalled certain packs of its Japanese Style Spicy Rice Cracker Mix, Spicy Wasabi Mix and Japanese Style Baked Rice Cracker Mix, because they possibly contain small pieces of glass. The Agency has issued a Product Recall Information Notice.

• Best before: All dates up to and including 13 September 2011
• Barcode: 00000027324127

• Asda Japanese Style Baked Rice Cracker Mix
• Best before: All dates up to and including 6 February 2012
• Barcode: 5050854967498

Asda has recalled the affected products from consumers and issued a product recall notice in the national press yesterday, Wednesday 18 May 2011. The notice explains why the products have been recalled.

If you have bought one of the above products, do not eat it. You can return it to your nearest Asda store for a full refund. If you would like further information, you can call Asda’s consumer helpline on 0800 952 0101 (free to call from a UK landline).

No other Asda products are known to be affected.

About product withdrawals and recalls

If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
