Public exhibitions to seek views on improving transport in the Builth Wells area

Exhibitions are being held to seek the public’s views on the problems and issues that should be addressed when looking at improving transport in the Builth Wells area of mid Wales.

Earlier this year we published ‘One Wales: Connecting the Nation’, to consider how we improve transport in Wales and develop sustainable transport networks that safeguard the environment while strengthening economic and social life.

The Welsh Assembly Government has commissioned consultants (Parsons Brinckerhoff and TACP) to undertake a detailed transport study in the Builth Wells area to identify and investigate options that are consistent with this goal. The study will include an examination of possible improvements to public transport, the road network and provision for walking and cycling.

The exhibitions are being held at the Antur Gwy Centre, Builth Wells on the following dates:

  • Thursday 25th September – 10am to 8pm
  • Friday 26th September – 10am to 6pm

Officials from the Welsh Assembly Government and its Consultants will be present at the exhibitions to answer questions and explain the process.
