Submit your artwork online to the Culture Cloud competition

New Art Exchange, in collaboration with technology providers Artfinder, have opened registration for the online Culture Cloud competition. UK- based artists can enter the competition by uploading two dimensional artworks to the project website before 4 May 2012.

Culture Cloud is a digital space for artists to upload their artwork where both curators and the public can vote for the works they like. The most popular and intriguing will be exhibited at New Art Exchange in August 2012. The site explores new ways of curating exhibitions and engaging artists and audiences using digital technology, with the public playing an active role in the curatorial process using the Facebook 'liking' system to rate work.

Led by New Art Exchange and supported by a national network of galleries and visual arts organisations, Culture Cloud is one of eight experimental projects selected to benefit from the Digital R&D Fund for Arts and Culture, supported by Arts Council England, NESTA and the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

There will be two winners - a 'curators' choice', and a 'public choice' based on votes from the final stage of the competition. The overall winners will receive a cash prize of up to £2000, a personal iPad app and the possibility of a solo show at New Art Exchange in the future.

For more information and to register your project, visit the Culture Cloud website.
