RM683 Supply of Liquid Fuels: Customer Update

The Supply of Liquid Fuels framework agreement is due to expire on 31 May 2013 and call-off contracts under this framework are due to expire on the same date. We are currently carrying out a procurement to replace the framework but this will not be in place before the expiry of the existing arrangement. We anticipate that the new framework will commence in July 2013. We have approached all suppliers on the current framework with a request to extend the current call-off contracts until 30 September 2013 at the same terms and conditions and rates and we are pleased to confirm that all suppliers have agreed.

However, between 1 June 2013 and the commencement of the new framework we will be unable to take on new customers or sites. If you have any sites you wish to add to the framework these need to be sent to LiquidFuel@gps.gsi.gov.uk no later than 15 May 2013.

As soon as the new framework is in place, we will undertake a further competition exercise on behalf of our customers for supplies to commence on 1 October 2013.  We will shortly be writing to all customers requesting confirmation that they wish to be included in the  further competition and requesting updated details for all sites which are to be included.

Under the new framework we will be asking suppliers to offer discounts for early payment terms, payment by direct debit and longer delivery periods. Customers will be asked in their further competition confirmation to select the payment terms, payment methods and delivery timescales they require.

If you have an interest in the Liquid Fuels framework but have not heard from us by 30 April 2013, please contact LiquidFuel@gps.gsi.gov.uk with your details.
