David Reader has been appointed High Commissioner to the Kingdom of Swaziland in succession to Neil Hook who will be transferring to a new Diplomatic Service appointment. Mr Reader will take up his new appointment in late-September 2001.

CHANGE OF AMBASSADOR TO THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY

Peter Westmacott has been appointed Her Majesty''s Ambassador to Ankara in succession to Sir David Logan who will be retiring from the Diplomatic Service. Mr Westmacott will take up his new appointment in January 2002.
