Video in British Sign Language launched

We have produced a short video in British Sign Language (BSL) to raise awareness of our work among people who are affected by deafness or hearing loss and to make our service more accessible. The video explains what we do, how we can help and how to contact us. It also explains how we can make adjustments to meet the communications needs of deaf people.

Julie Mellor, Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman said:

“Too often people do not make a complaint because they think it will not make a difference or they find it hard to do so.

“We want to change this by making it as easy as possible for everyone to find and use our services, so we can use what we learn from complaints to help make public services better.

“Each complaint gives services the opportunity to improve and put things right, and will help us drive forward improvements in care and public services.”
