Put your questions to Dave Hartnett @ HMRC

HM REVENUE AND CUSTOMS News Release (SPEC 10/07) issued by The Government News Network on 5 July 2007

Agents are today being encouraged to email their questions for Dave Hartnett, Director-General (Business) about HMRC's recent initiatives to engage with tax advisers. Your questions will be put to him in an interview to be featured in the Department's next set of podcasts in early August.

In April HMRC launched podcasts to explore new ways to communicate with key audiences. Dave Hartnett's podcast will answer some of the profession's most frequently-asked questions about Fresh Start.

Agents can email their questions to: jonathan.kinsella@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk.

The most frequently asked questions will be answered by Dave Hartnett in an interview which will be available at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/podcasts in early August.

"The launch of podcasts have demonstrated there's a real appetite for the chance to hear directly from some of the UK's most senior tax practitioners," says Anne Shevas, Acting Director of Communications & Marketing at HMRC.

"Working Together is an ongoing discussion between business and HMRC. The next set of podcasts aim to be more interactive, so agents can ask about emerging issues - and hear straight from the top."
