NHS England and NHS Employers have launched the NHS Learning Disability Employment Programme - a pledge to employ more people with learning disabilities which local NHS organisations are being encouraged to sign up to.  The programme is the next step in a commitment made in the NHS Five Year Forward View to make NHS workforces more representative of the local communities they serve.
