PDNS: Mandatory Active Cyber Defence - Latest Guide

NCSC recently announced their Four ‘Active Cyber Defence’ programmes which will help to immediately improve basic cybersecurity across UK business and government departments.

The “MUST DO” first step for any government organisation is Protected DNS (PDNS). Described in layman's terms by NCSC as Blocking bad stuff from being accessed from government systems” Protected DNS takes data GCHQ have about known malicious addresses and simply blocks the user from going there.

However, in order to fully protect employees, including those using mobile devices or working remotely, an additional layer of protection must be in place in the form of a Secure Web Gateway.
