Blackberry Productions supports Aston University

Conference and event management agency Blackberry Productions has been commissioned by Aston University to produce Aston Accelerator, its ambitious employability event at the ICC, Birmingham. They will be delivering the staging and managing the headline speakers for the careers advice conference, which will be attended by 2700 undergraduate students.

Aston Accelerator will feature speakers from industry, retail, politics and media, sharing careers advice with students and launches a week of related events. Blackberry’s newly-appointed Digital Content Producer Nick Birch is Accelerator’s producer.

Aston University’s Executive Director of Marketing and Communications David Farrow said “This is the first time that Aston University has worked with an independent production agency to deliver an event of this scale and we are delighted to have commissioned Blackberry, who offered an unbeatable depth of expertise and experience. We’re keen to deliver distinctive, innovative and memorable experiences for our students to support them in kickstarting their careers. Accelerator is very important to us and we’re very pleased that Blackberry will help us to achieve our vision.”

Director of Blackberry Productions Steve Elliott said “I’m delighted that Aston University has asked us to produce such a prestigious event. It adds to what is already a busy roster of work for us in 2017 and enables us to develop our production service for more clients in Higher Education who require high-quality events that match their ambitions.”
