Earlier this year, CPRAS (The Cost and Procurement Advisory Service) launched the Public Sector Procurement Platform Steering Group, to engage with Public Bodies across the UK to develop solutions to the most common procurement challenges. And we were overwhelmed by the response.
Almost a quarter of all UK Councils currently procure their Banking and/or Merchant Services through CPRAS Frameworks, and, through 16 years of working with Public Bodies, we have learned that most of the challenges our clients experience are shared – but there are no systems in place to help them collaborate to find the ideal solutions and share best practice.
This is why we created the Steering Group, to bring Public Bodies together and to shape our new free-to-use Procurement Platform that addresses these challenges because it’s designed by the Public Sector, for the Public Sector.
This Platform will bridge the gap between costly in-house tenders and calling off from existing Frameworks, by offering fully tailorable solutions designed to meet local needs. The Platform also offers award-winning due diligence and enhanced contract management and KPI reporting, ensuring full compliance with the new Procurement Act from this October.
Now, we have decided to open the Steering Group up again, with free membership and no obligations at any stage, to help more Public Bodies collaborate and access better Procurement Services.
The next step will be online working group sessions that address these specific areas of interest:
- Optimising Social Value
- Opportunities through the Procurement Act & KPI Integration (Meeting the New Requirements)
- Collaboration Opportunities through the Steering Group
- Local Business Community Engagement
- Platform Features/Functionality
- Tailored Solutions: Bridging the gap between tenders and frameworks
- Passive Revenue Generation Opportunities
We are also hosting online collaborative sessions to develop the following Frameworks and Dynamic Marketplaces, free of charge and with no obligations to proceed to procurement:
- IT Dynamic Marketplace
- Pathways to Net Zero Frameworks
- Waste Management Framework
- Home to School Dynamic Marketplace
- Building Refurbishments Framework
- Telecoms Framework
- Solar Power Framework
- Home Care Dynamic Marketplace
- Temporary Accommodation Dynamic Marketplace
If you work for a Public Body and want to join this innovative and collaborative initiative, it's not too late. Register below and join the other Public Sector organisations who are looking to collaborate and improve Public Sector procurement for good.
