NEPO’s innovative approach to procuring specialist professional services has been shortlisted for a prestigious LGC 2018 Award.

NEPO’s award entry, which has been shortlisted in the Innovation category, demonstrated how NEPO delivers benefits to the wider public sector through NEPRO, a neutral vendor approach to the procurement of specialist professional services.

Councilor Veronica Dunn (Newcastle City Council), Collaborative Procurement Sub-Committee Chair, said:

“NEPRO has been widely adopted across the UK public sector and continues to grow from strength to strength, delivering choice and value for money to the sector. I am delighted that the innovation and achievements reflected in our award entry have been recognised alongside our fellow local government finalists.”

Steven Sinclair, Head of Procurement at NEPO, said:

“This announcement is very exciting news for NEPO and its Member Authorities. NEPO has worked closely with our delivery partner, Bloom, to maximise the benefits of NEPRO across the public sector, providing choice through a dynamic supply chain, supporting social value and driving quality outcomes. Being shortlisted gives NEPO the opportunity to showcase our achievements and share learning across the wider public sector.”

Now in its 22nd year, the LGC Awards is the biggest celebration of excellence in local government. The award winners will be announced at the LGC Awards ceremony on 21 March 2018.
