Public Procurement, Reinvented by AI - A Direct Response to UK Gov's AI Opportunities Action Plan

For too long, UK public sector procurement has been fragmented, with multiple bodies independently running resource-intensive tendering exercises for near-identical requirements. This inefficiency results in billions of pounds wasted annually, produces sub-optimal outcomes and stifles the inclusion of innovative, socially responsible, and sustainable suppliers.

CPRAS welcomes the AI Opportunities Action Plan, presented to Parliament by Matt Clifford, Secretary of State Science, Innovation and Technology (January 13^th 2025) and the recent government statements committing to supporting all of its recommendations. The action plan is a quantum step toward harnessing AI across public services, including procurement, and we are proud to be at the forefront of delivering solutions that will maximise its impact.
