Distributed Energy Future Trends
What does it take to become a more sustainable, future-focused organisation?
Our new report explains what it means to be a sustainable business and the steps you can take to start your journey.
We share the key results from our research into the changing role of energy and the actions government & public sector organisations and businesses should take to prepare for a more commercially and environmentally sustainable future.
Our Research: We recently interviewed more than 1,500 energy decision-makers in public bodies and large businesses across 10 countries to understand their sustainability experiences and how they are adapting to challenges and changes.
Changing views leading to greater adoption of energy efficient solutions:
7/10 organisations recognise the need to be more flexible in how energy is generated and used |
2/3 are already generating more than 10% of their energy on-site already |
30% of those generating energy on-site are selling energy back to the grid |
The UK is already a global leader in the fight against climate change. However to meet the UK’s 2050 commitment to reduce emissions by at least 80 per cent compared to 1990 levels, a more radical transformation will be required.
But It needn’t be expensive…the cost of distributed energy technologies is falling and can play a major part in meeting our national climate change targets.
