Public Sector Cyber Sec Research Report: Trust in a Connected World

Latest Report: UK Public Sector Cyber Resilience

The UK public sector faces a significant cyber resilience challenge. Research commissioned by TalkTalk Business, covering 500 IT and technology decision makers across the UK, shows that very few public sector IT leaders feel fully confident in their organisation’s ability to withstand sustained cyber pressure.

Among public sector respondents, which includes councils, NHS trusts, educational institutions, housing associations and central government, just 2.4% describe themselves as very confident in defending their data and network infrastructure.

Every public sector respondent in this research reported experiencing at least one cyber incident in the past 24 months. No respondents selected the option indicating zero incidents.

Based on the research findings, five areas stand out as priorities for public sector IT and digital leaders looking to improve cyber resilience over the next two years.
