Public Sector Cyber Security beyond the PSN Roundtable – 10am I 22nd September
In the RUSI annual security lecture, Lindy Cameron, CEO of the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Centre, warned that ransomware is the key cyber threat facing the UK, citing recent attacks on the NHS, Education and how attacks had ‘shut down local authorities at great cost to the public purse’. She went on to say that whilst they support victims of ransomware every day, ‘turning up to a ransomware incident as the NCSC feels like the fire service turning up to a house that has already burned down.’ This threat is only set to increase as attacks become increasingly sophisticated and government organisations and public bodies in the UK wrestle with the challenges and complexities of migrating securely from the PSN.
These questions and more will be put to our expert panel of speakers who will explore what the future holds for the UK public sector. We will discuss issues related to the complexity of compliance and how we can wrestle back control using technology and independent frameworks, such as Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, NIST, NIS/CAF and CIS. This roundtable discussion will provide an insight into the issues and solutions we all face, and have available to us. Simply submit your details below to register for this event: |
