Re-writing the book Leading from the front – building transformational leadership

Successful leaders all face a quest. They need to guide their organisations through the tough times. Ensure their organisation overcomes the odds, survives, succeeds. For public sector leaders the quest is especially challenging.

Yet without effective leadership, organisation-wide transformation will not happen and in today's environment, transformation is a necessity.

It’s time to lead from the front. It’s time to re-write the book in terms of leadership in order to deliver public sector transformation. Our new report is based on discussions with more than 24 leaders at our last Leadership Forum. It aims to help readers tackle the challenges they face as public sector leaders and explains the four key elements of leading from the front:

  • Leading self
  • Creating a leadership community
  • Forming the top team
  • Engaging the whole organisation

SME Supplier Locator update...

UK Government and public sector spend with SME’s is continually on the increase and by 2020, it is the stated intent of Cabinet Office that £1 of every £3 spent on government contracts goes to SME’s. The past 5 years have seen government make a priority of getting money through its supply chain into the hands of SMEs, by both setting targets and introducing new procurement mechanisms.

Against this backdrop, the WiredGov Supplier Locator service has been developed specifically to embrace the SME Agenda and provide the ideal platform for SME’s to promote their services, solutions, accreditation and success stories directly to our ever increasing audience across all government and public sector verticals and Tier 1 suppliers.
