Microsoft recently announced the Bing Search and Bing Custom Search APIs will be retired on 11th August 2025.

If you are using these services, now is good time to consider switching to an alternative search API. There are very few options available globally but one is the UK company Mojeek, who provide an independent consumer web search engine used globally.

Mojeek also provides Web Search and Custom Search APIs to customers in the UK and overseas. Mojeek is currently offering UK government and public sector websites their API, as a replacement for Bing now and after it retires. The cost per thousand searches is at lower rates than are charged by Microsoft.
