back to listings SME Profile: Direct First Aid Ltd
We are a training company with a difference. Since 2002, we have been teaching dynamic, specialist First Aid courses to practitioners, fitness instructors and coaches in the Sports and Complementary Health Industry. Two years ago we were appointed as the preferred AED training providers for the Philips HeartStart Defibrillator and our course portfolio has expanded to support the AED training and now includes AED/CPR, First Aid at Work and Appointed Person courses.
We have a team of fully qualified instructors in place throughout the UK, offering a wealth of experience in delivering a diverse range of First Aid training courses which meet HSE requirements, but are tailored to meet the specific needs of the client. Our USP as a training company, is that we are passionate about delivering First Aid courses that are memorable, relevant and interactive, so that participants are proud to be part of the First Aid community and will be inspired to learn more.
We are members of the Association of First Aiders (AoFA) and our courses are accredited by City and Guilds, The Complementary Therapists Association, (CThA) and the Society of Sports Therapists (SST). All our instructors have HSE approved training and many have paramedic and military backgrounds. Some are also experienced external verifiers and assessors and trainer trainers.
Part of our ongoing commitment is to support stress management initiatives via our sister company D-Stress Direct. Our team of qualified and insured therapists (all with First Aid certificates of course!) go into client companies offering on-site seated acupressure therapy treatments which help to alleviate the symptoms of many stress-related illnesses.
As a team, we are innovative, diverse and flexible and work closely with our clients to provide a service second to none. Part of our forward planning is to serve the public sector by raising awareness of effects of stress in the workplace, deliver high quality First Aid and AED training and to be involved in the 2012 Olympics by teaching Advanced Sports First Aid to the UK medical support teams.
