At The Learning Connection Ltd our Coaching and Mentoring service is flexible and designed around your requirements – you may just need a few short sessions to point you in the direction of change, or you may require a longer more structured programme of development. The Myers Briggs Type Indicator is arguably the most widely used and respected Personality Type Indicator available today. Developed over 50+ years of research, MBTI is a questionnaire and feedback based instrument that enables individuals and teams to develop a greater appreciation of each other’s preferences and to understand individual differences – i.e. why is it that I respond this way to a given situation but you respond quite differently.
MBTI can therefore be used to help personal development, is widely used to support leadership development and is also a great tool for supporting team based development.
At The Learning Connection Ltd we offer a range of ways of accessing the wealth of personal insight offered by the MBTI. Starting with a one to one feedback session we will take you through the Indicator step by step and help you to identify your preferred personality type. We can then help to incorporate the outcomes into your own personal development plan and if required support this with one to one coaching.
Alternatively or as a progression we can then facilitate team sessions aimed at:

At The Learning Connection Ltd we believe that change is a massive opportunity but so often it is viewed with fear and trepidation. We work to help people understand the reasons for change, how people respond to and cope with change and how managers can more effectively manage and lead change processes.
Whilst we use a range of models and tools to explore the issues of change, we find Kotter’s eight step change model really resonates with people due to its simplicity and the fact that it makes sense;
The model can be summarised as:
Increase urgency – inspire people to move, make objectives real and relevant.
•Build the guiding team – get the right people in place with the right emotional commitment, and the right mix of skills and levels.
•Get the vision right – get the team to establish a simple vision and strategy, focus on emotional and creative aspects necessary to drive service and efficiency.
•Communicate for buy-in – Involve as many people as possible, communicate the essentials, simply, and to appeal and respond to people’s needs. De-clutter communications – make technology work for you rather than against.
•Empower action – Remove obstacles, enable constructive feedback and lots of support from leaders – reward and recognise progress and achievements.
•Create short-term wins – Set aims that are easy to achieve – in bite-size chunks. Manageable numbers of initiatives. Finish current stages before starting new ones.
•Don’t let up – Foster and encourage determination and persistence – ongoing change – encourage ongoing progress reporting – highlight achieved and future milestones.
•Make change stick – Reinforce the value of successful change via recruitment, promotion, new change leaders. Weave change into culture.
